Confirm fit before ordering.
The opening dimensions are only part of the fit. Room above the opening, space beside it, the ceiling layout and the opener arrangement also matter. Final measurements and the required hardware need to be confirmed for the selected door. Do not order solely from the dimensions of a similar-looking door.
Compare more than the door price.
Check which tracks, springs and hardware are included, whether we’re removing the old door and if the quote covers any opener work. Ask for the product and warranty details, too. That way, you can compare the full installation cost instead of just the price of the door.
Decide what to do with the opener.
A replacement door does not automatically mean the current opener can stay—or that a new one is included. Its condition and compatibility with the proposed door need to be checked. Discuss the controls you use now and any features you want before agreeing to the installation.
Plan property access and timing.
Share the service address and any property requirements you already know about, including association design approval. Confirm product availability and the installation date with the team before making access arrangements. Ask what space needs to be clear for the work and who should be present to review the finished installation.
