Three brothers, with Mom and Dad deeply involved. That’s the family behind Rushmore, serving homeowners and businesses across North and Central Texas, plus Rapid City and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The family behind the name
Dakota.
Taydin. Jayse.
Dakota Taylor is Rushmore’s owner and the oldest of three brothers.
Taydin, the middle brother, and Jayse, the youngest, also work for Rushmore Garage Repair. Their mother and father are deeply involved in the company, too. When we say family owned, we mean the family is part of the business.
Dakota works on doors as well as running the company. On a recent Aubrey job, he replaced a broken spring and the cables, tuned up the door and checked the opener’s safety functions after the homeowner mentioned having young children.

High winds had caved in an air-medical team’s hangar door in Hillsboro, leaving it inoperable. We arrived late to assess the damage and replaced the door the next day so the team could get its helicopter out.
