A squeak, scrape or hesitation might be easy to ignore when the door still opens. Tell us about those changes, along with any visible wear or uneven movement. It’s also useful to know how often you use the door and when it was last serviced.
Use the instructions for your equipment.
Doors and openers have different maintenance needs. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your model, and leave springs, cables and other parts under tension to a trained technician. A product or adjustment that suits one door may not be right for yours.
Know what a service visit covers.
Ask what is included in the proposed visit and how any additional repairs would be handled. Share whether the door is used frequently, whether the garage is attached, and any seasonal issues. Confirm the service-call charge and appointment availability with the team.

Is a routine visit the same as a repair?
Not always. We may find a problem that needs a separate repair. Ask what the maintenance visit includes, and review the cost of any additional work before approving it.
What if the door is already jammed or unstable?
Stop using it and tell us about the problem when you call. Do not treat a damaged or unstable door as a routine maintenance task.
